Transfer of marginable securities from CDP to Share Financing account
To transfer your marginable securities from Central Depository Pte Ltd (CDP) to your Share Financing account, please download and submit the CDP 4.2 form to us. Please note that CDP may take 2 to 5 working days to process your form.
To prevent short-selling securities in transit, please check against your CDP holdings to confirm that the securities have been successfully transferred into your Share Financing account before making any sell trades.
We have re-opened
We have re-opened our Investors Hub at OCBC Centre South for counter services.
As we are still practising safe-distancing measures to contain the spread of COVID-19, we have started an appointment booking system to regulate the crowd size at our Hub. Customers with appointments will be given priority entry. As such, we strongly encourage you to make an appointment beforehand if you need to visit us. You can do so by calling us at 6318 2251.
You may also want to consider reaching out to us via other means instead. Here is what you can do for some common service requirements without coming to the Investors Hub:
If you have any other queries, feel free to contact your Trading Representative (TR) who will still be available over the phone or email to assist you. If you are not sure who your TR is, follow these three simple steps to find out.
You can also contact our Customer Service at cs@ocbcsec.com or 1800 338 8688 from 8.30am to 6pm (Mondays to Fridays excluding public holidays)
As there may be high volume of calls and emails that we have to attend to during this period, we seek your understanding for any unforeseen delay in our service delivery. We are managing our resources to ensure that we continue to serve you well. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Trading in securities, futures and/or leveraged foreign exchange and borrowing to finance the trading of securities (leveraging/gearing) can be very risky, and you may lose all or more than the amount invested or deposited. Where necessary, please seek advice from an independent financial adviser regarding the suitability of any trade or investment product taking into account your investment objectives, financial situation or particular needs before making a commitment to trade or purchase the investment product. You should consider carefully and exercise caution in making any trading decision whether or not you have received advice from any financial adviser. If you choose not to seek independent financial advice, please consider whether the trade or product in question is suitable for you. For trading in leveraged securities and/or FX, the amount of initial margin is small relative to the value of the transaction. As such, the transaction is highly 'leveraged' or 'geared'. A relatively small market movement will have a proportionately larger impact on the funds you have deposited or will have to deposit; this can work in your favour or against you. You may sustain a total loss of the initial margin funds and any additional funds deposited with the firm to maintain your position. If the value of the collaterals declines substantially, falling below the maintenance margin requirement, or if the market moves against your position or margin levels are increased, you may be called upon to deposit substantial additional funds on short notice in order to maintain your position. If you fail to comply with a request for additional funds within the specified time, your position may be liquidated at a loss and you will be liable for any resulting deficit in your account.
